Uti Michael Omatsone was born in Lagos. He is from the rich oil producing state of Delta and hails from the Itsekiri tribe. He was privileged enough to travel the world with his father who was a diplomat. Because of the countries he traveled to, he was able to learn different cultures and it helped him grow a vivid imagination. He has been writing for a while since his early days and got involved in various writing competitions from a very early stage.

He is currently a public servant working with the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, a government parastatal that promotes Non-oil export, but his inquisitive mind and passion for writing remains. His first book, 'These Are The Days', a collection of poems, was featured in Vanguard, a prominent Nigerian newspaper, in 2003. Uti Michael Omatsone writes science fiction, historical fiction, poetry, and horror.

He is based in Lagos, Nigeria. He loves reading, swimming, interacting with people to get a feel of what's going on to feed his inquisitive mind, and also delights in watching the news for current affairs, documentaries, and fascinating movies.
